Who I Am and Why I am Doing This

Updated: Mar 3, 2018

This post is by a Queer Woman of Color. You are here because the MBA process is not designed for you either.

As stated, I am a Queer Woman of Color who applied to MBA programs. I am older than the median age of traditional MBA applicants (which is approximately 28). I live in a large U.S. city of over a million people. I work in the public/non-profit sector.

As I started this process in September of 2017, I realized there was no consolidated web resource for me to research so I decided to create one.

Don't get me wrong, there are TONS of resources out there for MBA applicants- in fact I hope to link to quite a few of them.

The challenges I found are plentiful and I hope to dissect them throughout the posts I make.

The first few questions that crossed my mind:

  • What if you do NOT want to apply to Harvard, Stanford or Wharton?

  • What if you do NOT get a 750 on the GMAT?

  • What if you're an older applicant?

I hope to answer these and add quite a few more.
